Sweet 'n Nutty Cereal Munch

1tablespoon butter or margarine, melted
1/2cup packed brown sugar
1/2cup dark corn syrup
1/4cup butter or margarine
1/4teaspoon salt
6cups Frosted Cheerios® or Cheerios® cereal
1cup pecan halves, walnut halves or peanuts
1/2cup slivered almonds

1.Heat oven to 325°F. Spread 1 tablespoon melted butter in 15x10x1-inch pan.
2.In 3-quart saucepan, stir together brown sugar, corn syrup, 1/4 cup butter and the salt. Heat over medium heat about 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until brown sugar is dissolved; remove from heat. Stir in cereal, pecans and almonds until well coated. Spread mixture in pan.
3.Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Loosen mixture with metal spatula. Let stand about 1 hour or until firm. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container.
